Model Superocean Héritage

In the 1950s, the demand for divers’ watches increased with the rise of professional and leisure scuba diving. In 1957, Breitling took the plunge into the undersea world with two pioneering dive watches. Called SuperOcean, the line was made up of the Ref. 1004 time-only model and the Ref. 807—the world's first dive chronograph. Inspired by its mid-century predecessors, today's Superocean Heritage combines vintage design cues with modern craftsmanship made to take you from sea to shore in style.

Breitling has a strong place among luxury watchmakers without a doubt. Highly exclusive, technically advanced and largely sports chronographs are popular with customers around the world. It is also due to its close links with the world of aviation, unique design and rich history.

It dates back to the second half of the 19th century, when young Leon Breitling in the Swiss town of St-Imier opened a workshop for the production of movements. Made and assembled by 100% IN-HOUSE in the newly built Breitling Chronometry plant in La Chaux-de-Fonds. The new clockwork immediately pulled the attention of both the professional and the lay public, putting the professional 01 into the top ten world chronographs. The motto “Instruments for professionals” says it all.
