PVD stands for Physical Vapor Deposition. PVD Coating refers to a variety of thin film deposition techniques where a solid material is vaporized in a vacuum environment and deposited on substrates as a pure material or alloy composition coating.
The classic Centrix Automatic Diamonds watch has been reworked not only technically, but also aesthetically. The modified model has a rounded sapphire crystal that extends all the way to the edge and a curved case blending with the curved crystal edge. The overall appearance of this iconic timepiece is completed with adjusted case lugs and a bracelet made of polished rose-gold-coloured PVD-coated stainless steel with brown high-tech ceramic middle links. The brown facetted dial has an opulent 3D effect created by stamping a shaped dial and then filling it with lacquer. Inside, the three-hand calibre R763 movement exceeds standard accuracy test requirements from 3 to 5 positions, thanks to its antimagnetic Nivachron™ hairspring for increased reliability and accuracy. The watch is water resistant down to 50 m and offers 80 hours of power reserve.
The motto "If we can imagine it, we can do it" has become a cornerstone in the design of the models of the Swiss company RADO.
The first collection left the gates of the company in the 1950s. Since its inception, the company has focused on producing models from prestigious and durable ceramics, high-tech ceramics. The material that is unprecedented on the market. It is highly scratch-resistant, absolutely anti-allergic, non-rusting and relatively crack-resistant.
Engineers were constantly engaged in ways to improve ceramics, preserve its main hardness, but develop a similar resistance to that of steel. The result of this truly demanding process was HARDMETAL. Later, CERAMOSTTM, a combination of high-tech ceramics and metal, gave the watches the necessary durability and hardness for everyday use. The next stage of development was Plasma High-Tech Ceramics, which when heated to 20,000°C it transformed its color from white to a shade of polished steel, without the need to add as much metal as possible.
In 2002, the legendary model RADO V10K with a hardness of 10,000 vickers degrees was introduced. So far it is the world's hardest watches' case.
With its specific design and Swiss quality, RADO has already won many lovers around the world. So if you want a watches without scratches, or if you have a metal allergy - RADO is also for you.
